The bring and buy social event at the Brooksby apiary.
If you have any unwanted beekeeping equipment to get rid of or if you wish to pick up a bargain, this is a great opportunity for you. (I know there will be some supers for sale, very much sought after at the moment!). Please let me know if you intend to sell some items, I'll need to know for allocating selling space in the car park.
After last year's success at honey tasting, we thought we'd bring it back again.
Members throughout Leicestershire and Rutland are invited to bring some honey from their apiaries to share with others.
We get to experience the differing tastes of the area throughout the seasons with surprising outcomes.
This year I'll be adding some city rooftop honey and African rainforest honey, which are both very good.
Just turn up on the day with some of your honey to take part!
The rough schedule for the afternoon is as follows.
14:00 sellers setting up
15:00 open for business (bring cash!)
16:00 honey tasting
16:45 hot food served. Vegan options available.
17:15 lawn games
19:00/19:30 estimated finish/ kick out time.
Family and friends welcome, Dogs permitted if on a lead.
