Jo Widdicombe, Sustainable Bee Improvement
Bee improvement is relevant to all beekeepers. Jo will explain how we can apply simple principles and rules to maintain or improve the quality of our bees. Following BBKA's vote to support a ban on bee imports, Jo will aim to show that this decision will not deprive us of good bees, but will, in fact, allow us to build locally adapted populations of honey bees with the qualities that we want.
